In July and August, a lot of construction work will be carried out on the train tracks in Limburg and Noord-Brabant.
Construction work on the train tracks near The Hague
From 7 to 9 August, ProRail will carry out work on the train tracks between Den Haag HS station and Den Haag Mariahoeve station, and between Leiden Centraal station and Alphen aan den Rijn station. NS will operate replacement buses.
Fewer trains between Utrecht Centraal station and Den Bosch station / Tiel station
From 11 to 20 August, ProRail will carry out work on the train tracks between Utrecht Centraal station and Den Bosch station or Tiel station.
No trains between Almere Centrum station and Weesp station / Naarden-Bussum station
From 2 to 16 August, ProRail will be working on the train tracks between Almere Centrum station and Weesp station / Naarden-Bussum station. NS will provide replacement buses.Construction work on the road
There will also be many roadworks. These will affect buses and trams too.
Construction work in Amsterdam
This summer, GVB is carrying out works on the tram tracks and tram stop facilities around Surinameplein. GVB is also working on the metro route between Amsterdam Zuid station and Spaklerweg station and Van der Madeweg station.
Construction work in Den Haag (The Hague)
From 1 June to 2 October, engineering works will take place at Rijswijkseplein in Den Haag (The Hague). Tram tracks and road surfaces are being renewed, which will cause traffic disruption.Papendrechtsebrug (bridge) (N3) closed
From 17 July 2026 to 21 April 2027, the Papendrechtsebrug will be closed. All buses that normally cross the bridge will therefore run on diversion routes.
