Age discounts for seniors (65+)
Seniors (65+) are entitled to an age discount. There are several season tickets suitable for people aged 65 and over.
Senior discount
Are you 65+? Then you can travel with a 34% discount on the bus, tram, and metro. You do not need a season ticket for this. You can use this discount in two ways:
Personal OV-chipkaart – The discount is automatically calculated when you check in and out during your trip. This discount starts on the day you turn 65.
OVpay – Have you created an OVpay account and entered your age? The discount is then calculated automatically when you check in and out during your journey. This discount applies from the day you turn 65.
