No trains in Northern Noord-Holland from 8 to 23 March
ProRail will conduct construction work on the train tracks between Den Helder and Heerhugowaard from 8 to 23 March. As a result, fewer to no trains will be running, and may depart from a different platform than you are used to. Please take into account train cancellations and busier trains.
Do you have to travel from, to, or via Heerhugowaard, Schagen or Den Helder during this period? Plan your trip in the 9292 planner or in the 9292 app. This way, you are always up-to-date about delays and disruptions. Make sure to check your journey just before departure to avoid surprises.
From 8 to 17 March
No trains between Den Helder and Heerhugowaard.
From 18 to 23 March
No trains between Den Helder and Heerhugowaard.
No trains between Alkmaar and Heerhugowaard.
No trains between Hoorn and Heerhugowaard.
Why is there construction work?
ProRail indicades that urgent work is needed on the train tracks in the northern part of Noord-Holland (between Heerhugowaard and Den Helder). Den Helder Zuid station is being renovated and ProRail wants to ensure proper mainenance of the train tracks.
