Strike in Belgium
Fewer trains will run on Friday 9 October. This also applies from Sunday 11 October at 22:00 until the last train on Monday 12 October. The strike will affect train services to, from and within Belgium.

When are the strikes taking place and why?
Friday 9 October 2026: Trade unions ABVV and ACV are organising another day of action against the Arizona government’s spending cuts.
Monday 12 October 2026: Trade union ACOD has announced a day of action in the public sector. This action is also against the government’s budget proposals and planned spending cuts, and may disrupt public transport.

EuroCity and Eurocity Direct
Fewer EuroCity and EuroCity Direct trains will run on monday 12 October. EuroCity Direct services will start and end at Rotterdam Centraal. These trains will not stop at or depart from Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam Zuid, Almere Centrum, Almere Buiten or Lelystad Centrum.

Eurostar and TGV services will run as scheduled on 12 October.

De Lijn (B)
On Friday 9 October and Monday 12 October 2026, far fewer buses will run due to strikes. An adjusted timetable is being prepared for both days. Which trains will run depends on the staff available. The adjusted timetable will be available:
For Friday 9 October: from Wednesday evening, 7 October.
For Monday 12 October: from Saturday evening, 10 October.
