Construction work in Den Haag (The Hague)

From 1 June to 2 October, construction works will take place at Rijswijkseplein in Den Haag (The Hague). Tram tracks and road surfaces are being renewed, which will cause traffic disruption.

HTM is replacing the tram tracks used by tram lines 1, 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16 and 17 at Rijswijkseplein. At the same time, the Municipality of The Hague is resurfacing the roads at Rijswijkseplein.

ProRail is also working on the train tracks in Rotterdam and Den Haag during this summer. Read more about this construction work.

The works at Rijswijkseplein are divided into four phases. The images below show where the works are taking place and which phase is active.

Phase 3: From 17 August to 18 September

  • HTM is working on the tram tracks between De Haagse Toren and Van Maanenkade.

  • The Municipality of The Hague is carrying out road works from the Waldorpstraat intersection, underneath the railway viaduct, to Spaarneplein.

Phase 4: From 19 September to 2 October

  • The Municipality of The Hague is carrying out road works near De Haagse Toren (Stationsplein).
