You can indicate this on the homepage at 'plan your trip'.

To do so, click on the tab 'Extra options' in the planner tab; here you can check which means of transport you want to use for travel. Or, of course, you can uncheck the means of transport with which you do not want to travel.

By default, all options are checked.

That can vary. The travel advice from 9292 is based on the information from all public transport companies. If all this information is complete before a certain date, 9292 will process it as soon as possible. From that moment, you can plan your trip for that date. On average, you can plan about 4 weeks ahead.

Note: check the times again before your trip. For example, there can be work on your route, so that your travel times change.

There may be several reasons why travel advice is different than you might expect. The advice may differ from what you expect because:

• The advice gives a different starting point. The travel advice you see is the fastest trip from the departure location to the arrival location, for the indicated departure or arrival time.
• There is planned work on your route. We advise you to check shortly before your departure whether there is work on your route by requesting your travel advice again. Planned work is visible in the travel advice.
• Public transport does not run the same every day and every hour. A different date and/or time may affect the travel advice you receive. The website provides travel options to and from stops in the vicinity of the address you specify.

In your travel advice, you will see other recommendations by clicking in the bar on the earlier and later times.

It may be that you have to walk to another stop because you will reach your final destination faster that way. The travel advice that you see is the advice for the fastest trip. For the fastest travel advice, the total travel time is calculated: the walking time, the travel time and the transfer time added together. To the left of the travel advice, you will see different recommendations; a recommendation from the desired stop may be listed there.

Tip: Do you want to plan a trip to or from a specific stop? Then type the stop name for 'to' or 'from'. You will then almost always get travel advice to or from the desired stop.

Do you not know the stop name? Then enter the departure or arrival address and plan your trip. In the travel advice, you click on a stop name. You then get a page with information about that stop. At the bottom, you see a map of the area. Below the map, you see a list of all the stops in the area.

Sometimes, it happens that the bus or tram line you are looking for is not in your travel advice. The travel advice you see is the fastest travel advice for the time you have indicated.

It may be that a different bus or tram line is faster at the time of the trip. You will see other recommendations to the left of the travel advice. It is possible that the desired bus or tram line is listed there.

Tip! It can help if you switch off the option for a train or tram, for example, in the extra options in the planner block, so that you only see a bus recommendation for the travel advice.

A detour is a disturbance in the timetable that is planned in advance. You will be notified in your travel advice if there are planned disruptions on that route. For example, if a stop is temporarily unavailable due to work.

Tip: An overview of planned disruptions can be found on the website under the 'Delays & Disruptions' tab. In the search bar, you can search by location, line or public transportation company.

No, you cannot disable this train type. If you want to see advice without Intercity Direct, you can click on an 'earlier or later travel option'. This appears at the top of the travel advice.

The current departure times can be found by using the search bar at the top of the page to look for a stop or station.

You can also get to the current departure times page by planning a trip to or from the stop or station for which you want to see the departure times. If you then click on the stop in the travel advice, you will see the current departure times for that stop.

There is of course a logic behind the 'auto suggest', as this function is called. We can give you some tips that might make it easier:

• With a common street name, such as Kerkstraat, it is best to first enter the city name.
• For a stop or street with a unique name, for example Xantippehof, you are better off just starting with that.
• If you do not have an address, just enter the city name. You will usually get a central point in that city and a number of options around it. This, of course, does not apply for large cities. The planner then offers you the large stations as the first options.

The public transport travel planner is compiled from the timetables of all the public transport companies in the Netherlands. The validity of the planner is the same as the validity of the individual schedules.If, for example, a timetable is only valid for 1 month, then the public transport travel planner is also only valid for 1 month. You can assume that the validity is 4 weeks on average.

Take note: if you plan your trip far in advance, you might miss a change due to work on your route, for example. Always check your trip shortly beforehand.
