FNV has indicated that the 24-hour strike for regional transport (for example, long-distance buses) will begin at the start of the shift. For urban transport and rail transport, the exact start and end times will be announced in September.
Why is this temporary strike happening?
The trade union is protesting against the cabinet's plans to cut funds on social security and pensions. The FNV states that the reason for the strike applies not only to public transport employees, but to everyone in the Netherlands.
