New GVB timetable from 29 March 2026
From Sunday 29 March 2026, a new GVB timetable will start in Amsterdam. These changes respond to the growth of the city and changing passenger flows.
More services and new routes
With the new timetable, some lines will run more frequently. This also applies in the evening and on weekends. GVB aims to make travelling outside peak hours more attractive.
Some routes will also change. New lines will be introduced and some lines will follow a different route. A few line numbers will disappear, but the routes themselves will remain. Other lines will take over these routes.
