Travelling to WorldPride Amsterdam

Throughout July and August, Amsterdam comes alive with the colours of the rainbow. Whether you're heading to the Canal Parade or one of the many street parties, public transport is the easiest way to travel to Amsterdam.

WorldPride Amsterdam takes place largely in Amsterdam's city center. The various festivities are easily accessible by train, bus, tram, and metro. Plan your journey in advance and enjoy your day without worries.

Travelling from outside Amsterdam?

If you're travelling to Amsterdam by train, get off at Amsterdam Centraal, Amsterdam Amstel, or Amsterdam Zuid. On the day of the Canal Parade, NS will operate longer trains during the morning and evening.

Change Station

During the Canal Parade on Saturday 2 August you can get dressed for the festivities at Amsterdam Centraal Station. The 'Change Station' is located near the Central Hall on the city center side of the station.

Getting around the city

Need to travel a little further? Take the tram, bus, or metro to your destination. With a GVB day ticket, you can travel unlimited throughout Amsterdam for the whole day. You can buy your ticket directly in the Ticketshop in the 9292 app .

Construction

Please note that engineering works are taking place on the metro line between Station Zuid and Spaklerweg/Van der Madeweg. There are also engineering works around Surinameplein. Read more about engineering works in Amsterdam here .
