Travel to and through Rotterdam by public transport

Rotterdam will be busy this weekend. Many streets will be closed off for the safety of the runners. The Municipality of Rotterdam therefore encourages all participants and spectators to travel through the city by public transport and/or bike.

With a day ticket, you can travel easily through the city of Rotterdam. Get on and off the bus, tram, and metro without having to worry about your balance.

And extra convenient: with the metro, you won't be bothered by all the road closures. This way, you can be at the side of the road in time to cheer on the runners.

This is how you buy an e-ticket via our ticket shop.

  1. Open the 9292 app .

  2. Tap on the menu icon at the top left of your screen.

  3. Tap 'Ticket shop'.

  4. Search for the tickets.

  5. Follow the steps on the screen.

Have you paid? You'll find your e-ticket(s) under 'My e-tickets' in the menu at the top left of your screen. Activate your e-ticket just before departure.

Please note – Are you travelling by metro? You may not have cellular service underground. Therefore, make sure you activate your e-ticket before going underground.
